Over the course of 2021 and 2022, in collaboration with our regional partners, GEO Mountains undertook a series of (predominantly virtual) consultations and associated surveys on the interdisciplinary mountain "data landscape" – including user data requirements and the extent to which they can presently be met – in several major mountain regions. Recordings of the events may be provided upon request.

The associated surveys are now closed, and a final report is currently being finalised. This report will include a set of recommendations, both general (global) and targeted to the specific regions. By building upon this, with your input and in collaboration with our various partner organisations, we hope to ultimately improve the present data situation across the world’s mountains.
