EO Data and Knowledge Dialogue Series 2026 – In-situ, Satellite, and Citizen Science Data: Interoperability in Practice

19.02.2026 | 15:00 – 17:00

Interoperability across in-situ, satellite, and citizen-generated data is a cornerstone of Earth Intelligence. It is essential for enabling calibration and validation, improving data quality and coverage, supporting operational services, and ensuring that Earth observation data can be effectively combined, reused, and scaled across domains and regions. This dialogue will contribute directly to the implementation of the GEO In-Situ Data Strategy and to broader GEO efforts on open knowledge, standards, and data integration.

The session will bring together perspectives from data providers, infrastructure and standards organizations, citizen science initiatives, and global observation networks, followed by an open discussion with participants.
