GEO Mountains is pleased to report on the outcomes achieved by the projects focused on enhancing mountain data and information that were funded through our Small Grants Programme 2023. 

In 2023, 10 projects received CHF 10,000 each to undertake projects increasing the availability and use of mountain data and information. Many projects also received considerable in kind and other contributions from the institutions involved. 

The project period has now come to a close, and we are pleased to present short summaries of each project. The key outputs of each project are also highlighted. Links to further outputs will be added as and when they become available. Congratulations to all project teams for the work conducted! 

Finally, if you have been inspired to read about these projects and their achievements, please note that the 2024 call will open in April 2024! We look forward to receiving proposals from across the GEO Mountains network.
