GEO Week 2022 will convene in Accra, Ghana, amid rapid technological change and mounting environmental challenges.
As eyes turn to Africa for COP 27, the gathering will showcase how global collaboration is accelerating the use of Earth Observations as evidence for local impact, both in Africa and around the world.
The GEO Week 2022 website includes the Week at Glance and will be updated regularly over the coming weeks with more information on the event. For continuity and consistency, this year’s theme is from ‘global action to local impact’, i.e., ensuring the global work of the GEO community delivers results at a local level.
GEO-18 Plenary
The GEO-18 Plenary takes place from 2-3 November 2022. A preliminary draft agenda is included in the Week at a Glance.

As part of the side events, there will also be the second Youth Track and the fourth Industry Track sessions. These are dedicated sessions giving a voice to others who are contributing to the work of GEO. The focus of these sessions will also be made available on the GEO Week website.
